The Youth Camp (YCI) is an annual multi-denominational youth event. The main focus of YCI is developing young people who passionately and unashamedly love Jesus. Designed as a model of Bible-centred youth work, it was envisaged to be a gospel investment for the coming generations and every year equips hundreds of pre-teens as well as teenagers to love, serve and proclaim Christ in a thoroughly Biblical and contemporary way.
The first camp was held in 2007 before becoming an annual event in 2011. The camp has seen a remarkable growth in attendance commencing with about 50 participants in 2007 to around 300 plus in 2015. The in-depth teaching of the Bible along side fun activities has also helped participants to increasingly see the glories of Christ which in turn has seen their love for Him grow. They have the best fun and make friends who encourage them throughout the year; for many of them, it is truly the high point of their year.
One of the great strengths of YCI is the uncompromising commitment to teaching the Bible to young people. YCI is led by some of the most able and faithful Bible teachers of young people around. It does not patronise the young people but assumes that they are able to take the Word of God seriously. In an atmosphere of fun, deep foundations are laid to enable them to grow as disciples and servants of the Lord Jesus.
YCI has proven invaluable in equipping the teenagers for the challenges and pressures they face a morally and spiritually broken world. The impact of the week has left many teenagers with a legacy of encouragement and affirmation that being in Christ and having their identity in Christ is all good.
Testimonies abound over the years from the youth that attendance at the camps has clearly been used by the Lord in their lives both by deepening their love for Him and by increasing their desire to serve Him within their local churches.
We look forward to having you join us at one of our camps.
